Based in Los Angeles, Nadav Peled is a guitarist and composer. 

 

His jazz training and deeper dive into African soundscapes has informed his music into a unique style that sets him apart from his contemporaries. He has carefully crafted his musical style and curated his artistic exploration into a successful music career.

His garnered success in jazz, Ethiopian music, middle eastern funk, and R&B, is informed by artists like Fela Kuti, Mulatu Astatke, Ali Farka Ture and Charlie Parker. Combining jazz and African style grooves, Nadav has crafted a unique sound of his own while also paying homage to the rich history and cultural significance of Ethiopian jazz.

With a diverse portfolio, Nadav has a wide range of projects, including his band Anbessa Orchestra, dedicated to combining elements of Ethiopian music with a dose of American jazz. Anbessa Orchestra is an innovative project with a high acclaim and an integral part of New York’s groove scene.

His music has been featured in commercial campaigns for Coca-Cola and United Airlines, he has also contributed and recorded music for Apple TV’s, Lady in The Lake working with acclaimed musical producer Bekon (Kendrick Lamar/ Hozier).

Nadav runs the musical gamut and has shared the stage and recorded with artists such as: Fatlip (Pharcyde), Kat Cunning, Printz Board (Black Eyed Peas), Binky Griptite (Sharon Jones/ Amy Winehouse) and Ethiopian jazz legend Hailu Mergia.

Some of his most prominent performances include, Tiny Desk Concert (NPR), Live on KEXP, Lincoln Center, Womad Music Festival (UK) Musiques Du Monde (France) and J-Wave Radio (Japan).

 

Nadav remains active on both the Los Angeles and New York scenes, touring, recording, and playing lives shows. In 2025 he expects to begin work on a new musical project that will feature original music and a contrasting concept from his previous catalogs. His work will reflect his creative discovery and aptitude for innovation and artistry.
